Sweet man, it was really fun playing again - it's been a while. Checked out the store near where I lived, but they have just a hell of a lot of crap. Apparently, they have `club nights' on thursdays, but unless someone takes me there I doubt I'll ever turn up to one. They had boosters at $6 and $7 (6th edition was cheaper), but were out of 7th.

I'll be real keen to play apprentice games, but I have not been able to download it, so I've been playing the 1997 micropose game where the computer has AI - it's actually quite good, but I cannot find the expansions anywhere and micropose is now gone. You can download the game at the underdogs.

I've been playing a really nasty custom deck, since I'm limited to 4th edition plus the restricted cards (pretty much), so there's no dual lands. So, I have a deck with 5 moxes, black lotus, 4 black vices, 4 howling mines, 4 stripmines, winter orb, stasis, serras, kismet, timetwister, timewalk, wheel of fortune - it is pretty damn powerful. The only card that has really slowed me down so far has been energy flux!

yeah, magic is totally different to computer games, good for a change, i really like playing with you, your decks are (*cough*) good to play! : ) next time, we could set up a lan as well, get SC crankin. Cool fun.
Im in christchurch at the moment, with Bex's parents, very relaxing. Maybe we could organise something properly for mid year, june or something.

Yeah man, that was fun. I'm kinda (*cough*) looking forward to it happening again, although it was weird having all of the other people around. I actually enjoyed playing magic in the end as well!
